diet-for-healthy-skinHealth experts are always talking about clean living to improve your health, and if you ask the cosmetologist they’ll say clean living is essential for healthy skin too. Obviously, we’ve all heard that, and we know all about it, but the problem is that we hardly follow this simple rule. External cleanliness of the skin is one thing, and most of us know how to ensure that, but what’s even more important is cleanliness from inside.

How toxins affect

Here we will talk about how we must keep our system clean from inside, to enjoy a healthy and radiant skin. Our inner system as well as the outer skin is constantly bombarded by an infinite range of toxins. There are toxins in the air, in the water and even in the foods that we consume. And as these toxins attack our bodies, our system begins to weaken up and no amount of external natural skin care product applications can alleviate the problem.

Most of the skin related problems can be easily resolved by controlling our diet and our immediate environment, because these are the two main sources through which toxins enter our bodies.

Toxins are compounds which produce free radicals, upon entering the human body. And, these free radicals cause maximum damage to the skin cell structure. And as a result you see fine lines, wrinkles, dryness and age spots to surface on your skin.

Detoxify your body

To detoxify your body, the first thing that you need to do is to follow a healthy diet. Foods that you must avoid, because they rate high in terms of the potential toxins that they carry, are fried foods, caffeine based products, alcohol, sugar, and processed foods containing preservatives and chemical additives.

The other most rewarding method of expelling toxins from your body is to drink plenty of water. Water will keep your body and skin well hydrated, while at the same time it will flush out the toxins in the form of urine and sweat. Ideally you should be drinking about two to four liters of water every day. And as we just mentioned, sweating is one way to expel toxins, so how about getting onto some rigorous exercise regime.
